The Annual SUICRO symposium* returns to 'Whites Burren Castle Hotel', near Lisdoonvarna, Co Clare, on its usual weekend.
Lisdoonvarna is located near literally hundreds of local caves, from the well known show-caves of Doolin and Ailwee to the lesser known ‘collectors items’ all of which are well-documented in the ‘Caves of Co Clare’, published and recently revised by the UBSS. See map of area.

* The word ‘symposium’ comes from 2 Greek words syn- "together" + posis "a drinking", but there’s a bit more to it than that! This is the biggest cave event of the year with national and international cavers travelling to see and hear the latest updates from the Irish caving scene, debate relevant topics in formal AGMs and catch up with friends, old and new.
